Snow White is actually an ancient fairy story, which was penned by the Grimm Brothers in 1812. It has different versions in other cultures, but the most well known version today is likely to be the Disney version.
Most fairy tales seem to be a straightforward kids’s story on the surface, but there are messages, morals and symbolism contained in the story. A finer look a Snow White blu-ray will reveal some messages that you perhaps haven’t noticed before.
The colours presented at the beginning of the tale ( skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, hair as black as ebony) provide a direct sign that Snow White is a progressing story. White is a sign of simplicity (birth), red represents life and zeal, whilst black represents death.
The story of Snow White begins with Snow White being a youthful girl in the original versions, and an innocent young girl in the Disney version (the white phase). She undergoes maturity thru the flick ( the red phase), and experiences death ( in her sleep-like state, the black phase).
The absence of the birth mummy makes it likely for storytellers to propose the task of the malignant stepmother. The malevolent stepmother is a standard part of many fairy tales : Snow White, Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel. The lack of a mummy at all is also common, because if a mummy were present, the happenings wouldn’t unfold as they do in tales where there’s no motherly influence.
People have regularly charged Walt Disney as being a proponent of movies without mothers ( it’s right that many parents buy movies just because Disney pictures don’t have mothers) but Disney re-created classic stories where the mummy being dead was a part of the story development.
This component of story broadcasting wants to bring on board the viewers sympathy and it does that perfectly. Snow White blu-ray cleans the little house without being asked and cooks without have to be told. The seven dwarfs also are working hard in the mines.
